Just a quite article From Forbes: Artificial Intelligence And Human Expertise In Graphic Design

As we all know, AI is rapidly transforming various industries, including design and business, due to its speed, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. AI is becoming an integral part of our future, with even high school students now utilizing it in their work. There's no stopping its advancement.

A humorous but telling example occurred during a high school lesson where a teacher was demonstrating Canva’s AI capabilities. She requested an illustration of a croissant combined with the Eiffel Tower and French flag for a Paris Olympics mascot. However, the result was far from expected—the croissant appeared with an inappropriate shape, much to the teacher’s embarrassment. While this mishap provided a good laugh, it highlighted the potential risks of relying on AI in certain settings, especially those requiring professionalism.

Graphic Designers Disappearing...

Will The Demand For Graphic Designers Diminish In The Near Future? LINK from Forbes

Do you think graphic designers will still be necessary for the years to come? I am confident in affirming that indeed, they will. Human graphic designers offer a creative visual platform that enhances all aspects of the brand experience, whether it is website design, product packaging, signage, or even book covers.

However, this does not imply that the future will remain unchanged. It is important to acknowledge the rise of AI-powered design tools and not dismiss them, as they are poised to become the norm. In order to remain relevant, it is crucial to stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies.

In essence, the capacity to adapt is fundamental for survival, and this is what will ensure continued demand for graphic designers.

DIY Typesetting

This was an experience.  Used this back twenty years ago. So many issues with DIY lettering but a great learning curve for hands-on typesetting.
